Pool Wildlife Sanctuary

The July event for the North American Nature Photography Association : Nature Photography Group of Pennsylvania was an evening walk at Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus, PA.  The sanctuary is a private reserve on over 77 acres and headquarters to the Wildlands Conservancy and Air Products Environmental Education Center.  The grounds of the sanctuary feature the Little Lehigh Creek, nature trails, a bird blind, an arboretum, bee hives, ponds for the many frogs we encountered, woods, and wildflower meadows.  We ended our walk with an experiment to photograph fireflies, but most were in hiding unfortunately due to the cool July night we had that day.
